Cactus Flats, Big Bear, California
I recently had an opportunity to ride the Cactus Flats trail system located in Big Bear, California. This was actually a very decent trail system for Southern California! Now it does not compare to large trail systems that are located in other states, but it does have a good variety of trail conditions within this trail system. Cactus Flats has smooth riding trails all the way to the steep rocky trails. There were some great side trails that are a lot of fun to ride. I discovered quite a few mines within the trail system (all of which were gated closed) and there was also a small stream crossing.
